MY REVIEW
When I am asked to do a review I hardly ever turn the author
or publicist away. Even if the book falls outside of my “normal” reading preference.
With this book, I have to admit I really enjoyed it. It is a mix of fantasy,
western, and violence (wink). I usually stick to what I know so that my reviews
can be pointed and full of life. Since I do not “know” this particular mix of genres
all that well, I do hope you will still give my review a read and the book as
well.
The main character in this book is a Demon Slayer who is
protected by a necklace, or amulet. He has his reasons for being a demon slayer,
and hates demons with a passion. While we are never given the entire story
behind his hatred of the demon’s we do get plenty enough to understand. I had a hard time understanding why, if he
hates demon’s so much, would the other main character be a child of a demon? As
the story progresses we see why she is the other lead, and I actually felt “taken”
with her. Almost as if I could see myself becoming friends or a “big-sister” to
her.
This one grabbed hold and pulled me along for a wonderful
ride through a vivid and fantasic world. I highly recommend picking up a copy
(even if it isn’t your “usual”)
Happy Reading!
