Hunter is the only man capable of killing the demons that left the
world in ruins. But when he’s hired by a notorious priestess to bring
a thief to justice, the Demon Slayer gets more than he bargains for.

Airie was raised in an abandoned temple as a priestess’s daughter,
having no idea of her true origins. In a time when any half-breed
spawn of a demon is despised by mortal and immortal alike, not knowing
the truth is the only thing keeping her safe.

Forced to flee her home in the wake of disaster and discovery of who
she is, Airie must place her trust in a man who believes she should
never have been born. And when a demon uprising threatens lives he has
sworn to protect, Hunter has to make a choice: abandon Airie to an
uncertain fate, or overcome his own personal demons and love her for
    who she truly is.

    MY REVIEW

When I am asked to do a review I hardly ever turn the author or publicist away. Even if the book falls outside of my “normal” reading preference. With this book, I have to admit I really enjoyed it. It is a mix of fantasy, western, and violence (wink). I usually stick to what I know so that my reviews can be pointed and full of life. Since I do not “know” this particular mix of genres all that well, I do hope you will still give my review a read and the book as well.

The main character in this book is a Demon Slayer who is protected by a necklace, or amulet. He has his reasons for being a demon slayer, and hates demons with a passion. While we are never given the entire story behind his hatred of the demon’s we do get plenty enough to understand.  I had a hard time understanding why, if he hates demon’s so much, would the other main character be a child of a demon? As the story progresses we see why she is the other lead, and I actually felt “taken” with her. Almost as if I could see myself becoming friends or a “big-sister” to her.

This one grabbed hold and pulled me along for a wonderful ride through a vivid and fantasic world. I highly recommend picking up a copy (even if it isn’t your “usual”)

    Happy Reading!

Blood Trade by Faith Hunter is Released today! (BBB-Giveaway)

So, today is the release day of Blood Trade. #6 in the Jane Yellowrock series. I fell in love with this series. Not only because Jane is cherokee(and so is my hubby), but because she is strong, funny, and takes no crap. Plus she is a skinwalker. She has the spirit of a mountain lion within her. She can turn into Beast, that's her mountian lion spirit, at any time. She can also take the form of other animals, but prefers to stay around the size of a mountian lion.

Anyhow, today has a lot happening. If you head over to Bitten By Books you can enter to win a giftcard, plus get to know Faith a little more!
